Sterling Silver & Oxidized Sterling Silver. Total length of 24". The Molten reference in the name of this design refers to how it is made. I create a lot of scrap when I make my own rings to build my chainmaille patterns. I decided to take the ends of the coils that don't get cut all the way through to become rings, and the rings that aren't quite whole, or round, or have some flaw or another in them and heat them up and slightly "melt" them to create beads or odd looking links. I then oxidize them to bring the melted texture out and combine those with my "perfectly round rings" to create this Molten series of work. Match to the Molten Bracelet and Molten Earrings.
Each Molten piece is unique and the necklace you see in the image is the exact piece you will receive. It can be worn multiple ways as you can change the length of it, by hooking the clasp into any of the rings along the chain to create the length you desire. You can either hang the extra length down the back of your neck, or turn it around and wear it like a Y necklace. Very versatile and the combination of shiny and oxidized silver creates a piece that easily goes from day to night effortlessly.
